About us

About us

Starting off as Swahili Clothing Company in 2023, the company was founded by two brothers, Adam and Luc, who grew up in Kenya and who wanted to share their favourite vibrant prints with the UK market in the form of a men’s cotton shirt.

Fast-forward to 2025, the company has been re-launched by their (obviously more capable) girlfriends, Tilly and Mairi who wanted to build on their original idea by adding a women’s wear line.

Our pieces are made to be mixed and matched, whether pairing our Athena top with the matching shorts or reversing our Poppy top for a Friday night out.

Swahili London pieces are curated with versatility in mind, to ensure you always meet the dress code.

Our mission statement

Our mission is to create timeless stylish designs which are both sustainable and ready to wear. Made using fabrics available, our collections are limited, ensuring that you will have a one-of a kind piece with limited environmental impact.

Our pieces are designed to be mixed and matched, and can be styled up or down. Whether you’re enjoying a day at the beach or an evening in the city, Swahili London is a go-to for statement pieces that elevate any outfit.

Sustainability

Sustainability is at the heart of Swahili London, and our suppliers and manufacturers have been hand-picked to ensure that we have as little impact on the environment as possible. All of our pieces are manufactured with Wildlife Works, the world's only carbon-neutral, fair-trade factory, which prioritises protecting wildlife.

Working with the fabrics available to us, our men's cotton shirts are all made in limited quantities so if you see a print you like, make sure to place an order before its gone!

We strive to be zero-waste and all of the off-cuts from our fabric are used to create the unique accessories we sell including our signature scrunchies.
